Where Was Severance Season 2 Filmed? Exploring the Show’s Eerie and Stunning Locations

Season 2 of Severance has taken viewers beyond the sterile, windowless halls of Lumon Industries, offering breathtaking yet unsettling outdoor settings—including a work retreat gone wrong in Episode 4.

From Corporate Walls to the Great Outdoors

While much of Severance continues to be filmed at Bell Works in Holmdel, New Jersey (the real-life inspiration for Lumon Industries), Season 2 has ventured into Minnewaska State Park Preserve in Ulster County, New York, roughly two and a half hours from New York City.

Key Filming Locations in Episode 4

🔹 Sam’s Point – A rugged, scenic overlook with expansive views
🔹 Lake Minnewaska – The site of the episode’s dramatic waterfall scene
🔹 Peterskill – Known for its rocky terrain and waterfalls

Additionally, some scenes were filmed in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, adding a remote, isolated feel to the show’s world.

The Vision Behind Lumon’s Chilling Aesthetic

Production designer Jeremy Hindle revealed that the look of Lumon was inspired by 1950s and 1960s corporate interiors, where design reflected power, control, and commerce.

Meanwhile, executive producer Ben Stiller shared that this season, the show moves beyond its usual confined spaces, allowing more dynamic cinematography and a deeper dive into the world outside Lumon.

Stay tuned—Season 2’s expanded scope is sure to unravel even more mysteries!
