Bridgerton Season 4 Nears the Finish Line: Yerin Ha Shares Exciting Filming Update

The much-loved period drama Bridgerton is moving full steam ahead with its upcoming season! Season 4, based on An Offer from a Gentleman by Julia Quinn, will focus on the romance between Benedict Bridgerton (played by Luke Thompson) and Sophie Baek (portrayed by Yerin Ha, whose character was known as Sophie Beckett in the books).

In a recent chat with Women’s Wear Daily, Yerin Ha gave fans a thrilling update — filming is almost done! She revealed they’ve just wrapped up “block three” and are now diving into the fourth and final block, calling it the “last stretch of a long marathon.”

“It’s going so well. We just finished block three and we’re heading into block four now, so the final stint of the long marathon. But it’s just been so wonderful and work has never felt like work. It’s just felt like playtime. It’s been so nice,” Ha shared.

For those unfamiliar with filming terms, a “block” typically covers two episodes filmed together. With season 4 expected to have eight episodes — like the previous seasons — this means six episodes are already done, and only the final two remain.

If everything stays on track, Bridgerton season 4 should finish filming by May 2025. Though Netflix hasn’t announced a release date yet, fans might have to wait until late 2025 or even early 2026 — keeping in line with the show’s two-year gap between seasons.

What This Means for Benedict & Sophie’s Love Story

Yerin Ha’s upbeat remarks suggest smooth sailing on set — a promising sign for the sizzling romance between Benedict and Sophie. Their chemistry is key to making the season’s love story shine, and Ha’s excitement hints at an enchanting and heartfelt journey for the new couple.

With filming nearing its end, fans can look forward to another season brimming with passion, drama, and Bridgerton’s signature magic.
