Edgar Wright Wraps Filming on The Running Man Remake Starring Glen Powell

Director Edgar Wright has officially wrapped production on The Running Man, his highly anticipated remake of the 1987 Arnold Schwarzenegger classic. The film, based on Stephen King’s novel, is set in a dystopian future where the government controls the media, and desperate contestants risk their lives in a deadly game for a shot at survival.

A Thrilling New Take on a Classic

This time, Top Gun: Maverick star Glen Powell takes on the role of Ben Richards, a man forced to compete in a brutal reality show where he must evade professional killers for 30 days. If he survives, he wins a life-changing cash prize that could save his sick child and lift him out of poverty.

Wright, who co-wrote the script with Michael Bacall, has assembled an all-star cast, including Emilia Jones, Michael Cera, Josh Brolin, Daniel Ezra, Katy O’Brian, Lee Pace, William H. Macy, Sean Hayes, and Colman Domingo.
