Great news for Dune fans! Director Denis Villeneuve is reportedly starting work on Dune: Part Three much earlier than expected. Originally planned to begin filming in 2026, new reports say cameras will start rolling in June 2025 instead. This means the movie could hit theaters as early as December 2026!
The success of Dune: Part Two, which made over $700 million worldwide, convinced Warner Bros. to move forward quickly with the third film. Villeneuve is adapting Dune Messiah, the second book in Frank Herbert’s legendary sci-fi series, to continue the story of Paul Atreides.
Even though the studio wants to move fast, Villeneuve has said he doesn’t want to rush the process. Making a Dune movie takes time, with its massive visual effects and detailed storytelling. However, with everything moving smoothly, it looks like Dune 3 is on track to arrive much sooner than fans expected.
Get ready for more epic desert battles and the next chapter in Paul Atreides’ journey—Dune 3 is coming sooner than we thought!
