Filming The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion episodes is no small task, according to Kathy Hilton. The 65-year-old businesswoman and reality star revealed in an exclusive chat with PEOPLE that wrapping up a season of the Bravo hit can be exhausting.
“It’s a very, very big day, and it’s very, very stressful,” Hilton admitted. “Even if you’re not part of the drama, just being around it is pretty intense.”
Hilton first joined RHOBH in season 11 as a “friend of the housewives” in 2021 and returned for season 12 the following year. In June 2023, she announced she was stepping away from the show. However, she made a special appearance at the season 13 reunion and later confirmed she’d be back in the same role for season 14, which is currently airing.
Hilton’s sister, Kyle Richards, has been a main cast member since the show began. Their other sister, Kim Richards, was a full-time housewife for the first five seasons and has since appeared as a guest.
This season, Hilton is focused on supporting Kyle, 56, as she navigates life after separating from her husband, Mauricio Umansky, in 2023. The couple, who were married for 27 years, share three daughters: Alexia, Sophia, and Portia. Kyle also has an older daughter, Farrah, from her previous marriage to Guraish Aldjufrie.
Speaking about her sister’s situation, Hilton previously said Kyle was “taking her time” adjusting to this new chapter and “really spending a lot of time with the girls.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EST on Bravo, with episodes available to stream the next day on Peacock.
